We’ve Come This Far By Faith
We’ve come this far by faith,
leaning on the Lord;
trusting in his holy word.
He’s never failed us yet.
As I pondered what the editorial was going to be for this issue, this song began to play in my head. As I listened to the lyrics, I realized that we ALL have come so far, further than any of us realized, whether we have a relationship with God or not.
Life is about change, just as seasons change, we change as well. Be it getting older, starting a new job, moving into a new residence, having kids or watching your kids grow up and leave the nest, there is change happening everywhere and most likely, it is happening in and around you.
The question we must ask is, is this change good for us or will it be our downfall??? Will it inspire us to grow or set us back??? Will it draw us closer to God or will it push us away from Him??? Will this “change” cause us to make decisions based off of our emotions or will we think it through and make an intelligent and wise choice???
There are so many options, but only ONE right answer. The Bible tells us in Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” It is time for us to seek God as never before!!! Seek Him to lead and guide us to where He desires us to be. Seek Him to reveal to us step-by-step into all He would have us to do, so that we may receive all He has for us in this hour and in this season.
My prayer for each of you is that God will draw you closer to Him than ever before. Revealing to you the things He has for you and all He wants you to do. That He will give you the rest you need for those times you get weary. To allow you to drink from His cup when you get thirsty. To teach you His Ways, so you may do His Will and be able to bask in His Glory.
My desire is for everyone to enter into a relationship with Him, so that you may walk with Him, the way Adam did, He talk to you as Man to a friend, just as He did with Moses and become a friend to God, the way Abraham was.
God wants so much for us and now is the season, now is the time for change to take place, in order for us to receive.
I pray this publication blesses each of you the way it has blessed me!!!
